Author Guidelines

AyuPrabha welcomes original, unpublished manuscripts that fall within the Aim and Scope of the journal. Submissions must not be under review or accepted for publication in any other journal at the time of submission, and all listed authors should have approved the final version and agreed to submission. By submitting to AyuPrabha, authors confirm that their work is accurate, honest and prepared in accordance with accepted ethical guidelines for research and publication.

Article types

The journal accepts a range of scholarly contributions, including:

•Original research articles

•Review articles and systematic reviews

•Short communications / brief reports

•Case reports and case series

•Methodological or conceptual papers

•Clinical trial protocols

•Editorials, invited commentaries and letters to the editor

Each article type has specific word limits, structure and reference requirements, which are described in the Instructions for Authors. Authors are requested to choose the most appropriate category for their manuscript at the time of submission.

Manuscript preparation and reporting standards

Manuscripts should be written in clear, precise English and formatted according to the journal’s style. The title page should include the full title, author names, affiliations, corresponding author details and acknowledgements, while the main text file used for peer review must be fully anonymized (see double‑blind review below).

To promote transparency and reproducibility, authors are encouraged to follow relevant international reporting guidelines, for example:

•CONSORT for randomized controlled clinical trials

•STROBE for observational studies (cohort, case–control, cross‑sectional)

•CARE for case reports and case series

•PRISMA for systematic reviews and meta‑analyses

•SPIRIT for clinical trial protocols

Where applicable, authors may be asked to upload completed checklists for these guidelines along with their submission. Methods, statistical analysis and ethical approvals (including registration of clinical trials and ethics committee clearance) should be described in sufficient detail to allow critical appraisal and replication.

Double‑blind peer‑review process

AyuPrabha operates a double‑blind peer‑review system to promote fairness and reduce potential bias. In this model, the identities of authors and reviewers are concealed from each other throughout the review process.

•Authors must submit an anonymized manuscript file with no names, affiliations, self‑identifying acknowledgements or obvious references to their institution.

•A separate title page containing author information is uploaded as a different file and is not shared with reviewers.

•Reviewers receive only the anonymized manuscript and are asked to declare any potential conflicts of interest before accepting a review.

All submissions are first evaluated by the Editorial Team for basic quality, originality, ethical compliance and fit with the journal’s scope. Manuscripts that pass this initial screening are normally sent to at least two independent reviewers with expertise in the relevant subject area. Reviewers are asked to assess the scientific merit, methodological soundness, clarity of presentation, interpretation of results and significance for Ayurveda and integrative health.

Based on the reviewers’ comments and recommendations, the Editor‑in‑Chief or delegated Associate Editor makes one of the following decisions: accept, minor revision, major revision or reject. Authors receive constructive feedback and, when revisions are requested, are expected to respond point‑by‑point to all comments within the specified time. Final acceptance is granted only when the editor is satisfied that the manuscript meets the journal’s standards for scientific quality, ethics and presentation.
